Is it OK for nightstand to be lower than bed?
The top of your nightstand should be at least 2 to 4” taller than the top of your mattress. It’s easier to grab something when you’re on the bed than it is when you’re on the floor.
Should bedside tables be higher or lower than the bed?
Bedside tables should be the same height as the top of your mattress, but should not be lower. When you’re laying in bed, it’s easy to reach across or upwards to grab something, but it’s difficult to reach down.
